our landlord came to us in Jan stating that he can no longer accept rent because he is filing bankruptcy and the bank will now own the property. he tried to get us to pay him cash under the table to "squat" here until the bank gets the paperwork done. we refused, and we havent seen him since. we have been depositing our regular rent amount into a separate bank account since we dont know who to pay rent to. no one has contacted us. it is now May. anyone have any idea what we are supposed to legally do? we had a month to month lease. no one has contacted us. will we owe back rent to someone? or can we pick up and move with our saved money? i am so confused.
we live in ohio.
thanks!

As a property buyer or seller, which would you prefer out of seeing a house listed in a local newspaper, or going on various internet sites such as findaproperty.com? I work in an estate agents and our local company has raised the price of their newspaper advertising greatly, so it is a choice of either the paper or 3 or 4 internet sites? We do get a lot of interest from the internet but i am just wondering what buyers or sellers would prefer? It would be very helpful to have opinions from various people! Thanks, Josh
